IUGA All Member Meeting May 29th

Thursday May 29th at 7:00PM in MGH 420 is the last IUGA Meeting of the 2007-2008 academic year. This meeting will feature a presentation by Nick Finck, Director of User Experience for Blue Flavor. Nick will explore the best practices of user experience by reviewing some of the most popular and highly trafficked websites today such as eBay, Amazon, Toyota, Flickr, Twitter, Netflix and more. Nick will identify and explain both good and bad experiences on these sites on the merits of visual design, information architecture, interaction, and ease of use. Non IUGA members are welcome to attend.

IUGA Meeting and Alumni Social

If you are a current Informatics student or an Informatics Alumni then don’t miss the open IUGA Meeting and Alumni Social January 30th at 5:30pm in Mary Gates Hall 420 on the University of Washington Campus. Starting at 5:30pm there will be free food and the opportunity to meet current Informatics students and Informatics alumni. At 6:00 the current IUGA officers will announce recent changes to the Informatics curriculum and how these changes will affect current students. There will then be an Informatics Alumni Panel where Informatics alumni will talk about their careers, how they use Informatics, and where they are today. Afterward there will be free food (if any food is left) and an open social. All current Informatics students and Informatics alumni are encouraged to attend.

All Member Meeting - Tue. Nov. 20th

Our second IUGA All Member Meeting of the year is scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 20th from 11:00-12:00. We will be talking about the LAN Party, Ski Trip, Informatics course revisions, and other upcoming events.
